This guy pretty much shut down Gordon Ryan in F2W. It was impressive but he lost the decision somehow.

It would be cool if you could do a takedown study on that standing gripped position, with head forwards butt out, would be interesting to see how many at the top including Barbosa approach it

Seoi nagi: Barbosa takedown is hard🤔😓 because of the grip position. but Rodolfo takedown is good. It's cross grip

Hulk and Meregali are my 2 favorite BJJ fighters. Hulk's comeback choke at the Worlds / Meregali beating Pena. What a great couple of years we have ahead of us. oss!

Barbosa is so aggressive and relentless. Always fun watching him. I think he's gonna run through romulo, for several reasons:

-Romulo is a little old now whilst barbosa is young
-Barbosa has fought at every large event this year (asides from world pro) Pans, Europeans, Brazilian nationals and of course worlds, winning everything, so it's fair to say he's on a roll, whilst romulo hasn't really competed much at all this season.
-Thirdly, and probably most significantly, Barbosa has a super strong standing game, which romulo isn't really that well known for and at acb, I believe there's a penalty for pulling guard and I also believe that whoever stands off a double pull gets 2 points, which romulo is likely to concede points off
I'd be shocked if romulo beat barbosa, we'll have to wait and see...

Great work, and as much as I like the robot voice, I really appreciate the old BJJ scout format.

I think an additional graphic overlay indicating who is who during the footage would be helpful, something like the name and gi/belt color or just an arrow to make it more clear who we should watch.

One small detail, the throw he does is more of a seoi otoshi than a drop morote, because he only drops and does not load his opponent on his shoulder

    • Shakhmatography
      Shakhmatography 7 oy oldin

Paul Legrand whats the difference between drop morote seoi nage and seoi otoshi? I thought both of them are synonyms
